His performance earned him First Team All-Conference honors as a pitcher and Second Team All-Conference honors as an outfielder/hitter. As of Spring 2026, he still holds Webber’s single-season record for doubles (21).
Following his playing career, Coach Taylor joined the coaching staff at Webber, serving as the Head JV Coach & Assistant Varsity Coach. During his tenure, he helped lead the program to its first-ever National Regional Appearance and a school-record number of wins. In 2018, Coach Taylor returned to Pinellas County to join Largo High School as an assistant baseball coach. He became Head Coach in January 2019 and later earned his Professional Teaching License to serve at the high school level. Coach Taylor currently serves as Athletic Director, Department Head of the Business Education Program, and a Business Education teacher, all while leading the baseball program. He is the winningest coach in Largo High School baseball history, with 86 wins as of Spring 2026.
Outside of school and coaching, he is an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, their two sons, Taylor Jr. (5) and Carter (3), and their Black Lab, Sosa. Coach Taylor is a passionate advocate for the autism community.
